Is cussing a sin? The Bible addresses the use of language, instructing believers to speak in ways that are edifying and reflective of their faith. Ephesians 4:29 NKJV says, "Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers." This verse suggests that foul or abusive language, including cussing, is not appropriate for a follower of Christ.
